Disney Threatens my Wife with Arrest Over Filming

Disney Animal Kingdom gate employee threatened to arrest my wife after the Disney gate employee saw me filming the search area of Disney gate entrance. I was actually filming my wife who was stopped for her backpack check.

The gate had no prominent “no video allowed” sign or billboards saying that filming is illegal. The Disney employee stated that it was a no filming zone because the property belonged to Disney and she can declare me and my wife as trespassers since she has the authority to do so.

There was a Florida cop present at the site, when asked for assistance the cop took side of the Disney employee and actually threatened to arrest my wife if she didn’t leave. Her crime? she was begging the Disney employee to let us in the Animal Kingdom Park because we drove over 220 miles for 4 hours to get to the park and also because it was our wedding anniversary.

The park employee was not at all interested to hear how we got there or what day it was for us, instead she just turned off her heart and kept threatening my wife to leave or get arrested. My wife was in disbelief and had to repeat herslef over and over again to say that “we drove over 220 miles for 4 hours to get to the park and also it is our 13th wedding anniversary.”

The 20 something white Caucasian female from New York city, working for Disney only as a gate employee only, was not interested at all and exerted all her might to exercise her authority and be as mean and strict and heartless as possible to not let us in the Animal Kingdom Park.

The white cop taking her side kept on threatening us with arrest if we did not leave immediately!

So we had to leave the park escorted by a white 60 year old veteran (white) cop who kept apologizing for the behavior of the new generation of so-called “privileged” white Americans.

He kept repeating “really sorry buddy, really sorry’ as he escorted us out of the Disney park. I on the other hand showed my thumbs up to the old cop and said out loud “this truly is the land of the FREE”.

We are both brown skinned Floridians by the way but we speak good English and are US citizens. Now my wife has developed a phobia of visiting any Disney facilities after this psychological bully. She was crying in the car for almost half an hour after this horrendous incident.

Our ticket worth $221 was not refunded by Disney.
